Digital Denture
Digital denture production connects approved CAD data with the selected manufacturing route. CAD CAM dentures may include a milled or printed denture base, separate tooth components, a try-in denture or wax try-in denture before definitive production, depending on the material system and case stage.

For complete dentures and full set dentures, SDS follows the approved complete denture design through the required complete denture stages, from established jaw relation and tooth setup to denture base production and finishing. Partial Denture
SDS manufactures different types of partial dentures according to the prescribed design and material system, including acrylic partial denture cases, flexible removable partial dentures, flexible base partial denture designs, metal based partial denture cases, cast metal removable partial dentures and metal frame partial dentures. For partial dentures without metal clasps or other metal free partial dentures, the retention and base design follow the selected flexible or thermoplastic denture system specified for the case rather than a rigid metal framework.

A flipper is a transitional removable restoration for limited tooth replacement. SDS produces the approved appliance around replacement-tooth position, base form, retention and available clearance, giving partner labs a practical removable option before the definitive restoration is completed.

Custom trays are produced from case-specific records for dental impressions for dentures and other removable workflows. Nesbit appliances are compact partial dentures for limited or unilateral tooth replacement. Digital Denture CAD Design
Digital denture CAD design can begin from intraoral scans, scanned impressions, digitized models or an existing reference denture. The workflow establishes the denture base and tooth setup from the available records and can include a digital try-in denture when an intermediate review is required before definitive CAD CAM denture production.

Complete denture design coordinates the denture base, tooth arrangement and jaw relation in one digital plan. For a CAD CAM complete denture, arch form, reference records and the prescribed tooth setup are reviewed before the design moves through the relevant complete denture stages and into production preparation.

Partial Denture CAD Design
The design of partial denture frameworks starts with the remaining teeth and planned insertion path. Depending on the prescription, SDS defines major connectors, rests, mesh areas, finish lines and denture clasp geometry. Cases involving different types of clasps in RPD design, a circumferential clasp or indirect retainers in removable partial denture design are reviewed according to the required support and retention. This CAD approach can support cast metal partial denture, metal partial denture and other framework-based cases before manufacturing.

How Removable Denture Cases Move from Records to Production
The denture process from start to finish depends on the restoration type. SDS keeps the dentures process organized around the records, design decisions, and production route required for each case, rather than forcing digital dentures, complete dentures, and partial dentures through the same workflow.
Send removable case data
Send STL or scan files with bite and jaw-relation records, photos, shade information, tooth-setup requirements, and lab instructions. Existing dentures, digitized models, or dental impressions for dentures can also provide reference information when they are part of the prescribed workflow.
Case review & denture CAD design
SDS identifies the restoration type before CAD begins. Complete denture cases focus on the denture base and tooth setup, while flexible partial dentures and metal framework cases require separate review of support, retention, and insertion path. When a lab is evaluating a metal partial denture vs acrylic or a partial denture acrylic vs metal framework, the selected material is reflected in the CAD and manufacturing route rather than treated as a cosmetic difference.
Design QC & production preparation
Before file delivery or manufacturing preparation, SDS checks the approved design against the submitted records and selected production method. The review covers denture base geometry, tooth setup, framework components, clearance, occlusion, and material-dependent requirements so custom fit dentures can move from CAD into production with the agreed case parameters intact.
Delivery & adjustment support
Production-ready CAD files can be returned to the partner lab, or the approved case can continue into removable denture manufacturing. SDS keeps case instructions and revision feedback connected to the same removable dental prosthesis, giving dental laboratories a flexible way to use our team for individual cases or additional removable production capacity.
